Study of Iggy

With no materials, including paper, I decided to glue together pages from the prison newspaper ‘Inside Times’.

The drawing in pen was then smothered it in toothpaste, obscuring the whole image. When covered in PVA, some of the original image re-emerges.

By repeating this process you can build up a grayscale image which has the tactile feel of a tattoo on a dead body.
